Explore anthropology and social science in the Grainger Digital Media Studio, the Field Museum's FREE teen hang-out space.
During Spring 2016 you'll work on building a virtual museum. Explore the museum collections and create a digital artifact to add to the Teen Open Studio Digital Museum! Use Twine to code a conservation story, design and record a Chinese shadow puppet performance, or come up with your own project to contribute based on the Museum's collections. Monthly Teen Open Studio Workshops will introduce new tools and ideas, then finish or expand your projects during open studio time.
You’ll have access to digital design software (including Adobe Creative Cloud and 3D design software), 3D printers, vinyl cutters, iPads, MacBook Pros, and video production equipment. Teens can enter through the West Door of the Museum, and must be at least 14 years old to participate. We have snacks and Ventra assistance is available upon request.
