Summer Explore Studio: Gameasaurus Rex

Games design workshop exploring dinosaurs!

Dive into the past when dinosaurs roamed and survival was a day-to-day game of chance! Through this intensive workshop, youth will work with Associate Curator of Dinosaurs, Pete Makovicky and museum educators to explore how dinosaurs adapted to survive in ancient environments. Then, youth will work with a game designer and learn best practices in game design. Combining their knowledge of game design and dinosaurian evolution, youth will create a card game for their peers that is both scientifically accurate and fun to play! No prior knowledge is required for this program.

Please Note: A completed application is required for this program. The first round of accepted applicants will be notified by April 27, 2016. Applicants will continue to be accepted until all spots are filled. Once the program is filled, interested youth will be added to the museum's waitlist. Youth must meet the age requirements of the program by June 1, 2016. For questions, please contact the museum's Digital Learning Team.

Scholarships and public transportation assistance are available for all programs. Soy nut butter sandwiches will be provided or youth may bring a lunch.
