curioCITY: Fishing for Clues

A scientific career path conversation

The Field Museum’s Youth Council is excited to announce curioCITY: Fishing for Clues, a free event for high school students at The Field Museum. Featuring Suzanne Smyth, a fire investigator and Field Museum conservation scientist Lesley de Souza, curioCITY aims to bring people of different careers to share in conversation their seemingly unconnected paths. Suzanne Smyth specializes in the investigation and prevention of fires and explosions in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. Lesley de Souza researches Neotropical fishes deep in the Amazon basin and works closely with indigenous communities to promote conservation of the landscape, people, and wildlife.

High school students, stop by The Field Museum on Saturday, May 6th at 1pm for snacks and hear about the life journeys of a Suzanne Smyth and Dr. de Souza!

Event is FREE, snacks, fun activities, a prize drawing, and museum admission is provided!
